Calamansi Juice Recipe

Ingredients

For 1 liter (4 glasses):

  • 20-24 pieces calamansi for juice
  • 4 pieces calamansi for garnish (optional)
  • ½ - ¾ cup sugar
  • 4 cups water room temperature
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 4 pieces mint leaves optional

For 1 glass:

  • 5-6 pieces calamansi
  • 2-3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup ice cubes
  • mint leaves optional

Instructions

  • Wash the calamansi thoroughly then cut each into half across the segments.
    20-24 pieces calamansi, 4 pieces calamansi
  • Place a strainer on top of a pitcher/glass.
  • Use your thumb and index finger or use a lemon/calamansi squeezer to squeeze out 20-24 calamansi juice and run it through the strainer.
  • Add the sugar and pour in half of the water. Stir until completely dissolved.
    ½ - ¾ cup sugar, 4 cups water, 2-3 tablespoons sugar, 1 cup water
  • Add the rest of the water and stir again.
  • Add the remaining calamansi halves to the pitcher.
    5-6 pieces calamansi
  • For added flavor, lightly crush or pound the mint leaves with the flat of a knife. Add this to the pitcher of calamansi juice.

  • To serve add ½ cup of ice cubes on a glass then fill it with the calamansi juice.
